Coming down from the top of Ben Nevis in Scotland with my head in the clouds.
My novel King Bartholomew set me on a path from which I have not left for many years now. The time I spent researching and absorbing the rich folklore of The Isle of Man has been a joyful and profound experience in my life. Much of the folklore that I have included in my books has been derived from the contemplation of some of this existing folklore. I believe that folklore is as much of an inner landscape for the mind as is this fantastic vista that I stand before in this picture. Imagination is to the mind as letters is to language. On this page I want to include chapters of my book, and it is my hope that the reader will perhaps be inspired by the folklore from which my own folklore has been created.
